Mitchell BNC 35mm Camera Package For Sale
These are the details:
A complete Mitchell BNCR 35mm production package, including a Worrall Geared Head and an Angenieux 20-120 zoom lens, ready to go to work. This camera was formerly owned by Paramount Studios and was working there into the late 1990s. I have owned the camera since 2003 and I photographed an award-winning short film (AFTER TWILIGHT) and a feature film (MR. HELL) with it in 2004. A trailer for AFTER TWILIGHT can be seen at www.nu-classicfilms.com.
This camera is a beautiful machine, steady and quiet. (The variable shutter has been removed to make the camera quieter. I have the parts for anyone who would like to re-install it.) The camera is reflexed using a 1/3 stop pellicle in the light path. The motor is a Cinema Products crystal motor. The package includes a black and white video assist unit. Yes, it is big. Yes, it is heavy. But once you get this machine onto the geared head and on a dolly, the weight is no longer an issue. It is so balanced that it feels light as a feather and so smooth.
All of this comes in thirteen cases.
